Launch price Rs 4.99 lakhs for 2013 Chevrolet Sail sedan petrol 1.2 in India

General Motors India geared up to  bring in their first model of the New Year. The Chevrolet Sail sedan is the first vehicle launch from the company this year, and was launched simulatneously in Delhi, and Mumbai today and will be looked upon as a rival to Toyota Etios, Maruti Swift Dzire, Hyundai Verna and Volkswagen Vento. The 2013 Chevrolet Sail sedan petrol 1.2 costs Rs 4,99,000, 2013 Chevrolet Sail sedan petrol 1.2 LS comes for a price of Rs 5,49,300, 2013 Chevrolet Sail sedan petrol 1.2 LS ABS costs Rs. 5,70,300, and 2013 Chevrolet Sail sedan petrol 1.2 LT ABS costs Rs 6,41,550. All prices are ex showroom Delhi.

Launch price of  2013 Chevrolet Sail diesel sedan 1.3 is Rs 6,29,000. 2013 Chevrolet Sail diesel sedan 1.3 LS comes for a price of Rs 6,59,300, and price of 2013 Chevrolet Sail diesel sedan 1.3 LS ABS is Rs 6,80,300. The 2013 Chevrolet Sail diesel sedan 1.3 LT ABS is available at a price of Rs 7,51,550. All prices are ex showroom Delhi. The sedans are based on the same platform as the Chevrolet Sail U-VA hatchback which was launched late last year, the upcoming Sail sedan will be offered both in a diesel and petrol guise. A 1.3 liter turbo charged diesel engine and a 1.2 liter petrol engine is scheduled for the Sail sedan.

Chevrolet Sail sedan will be launched with a host of safety features which will include speed sensitive auto door locks, anti lock brake system and electronic brake force distribution. The vehicle will also have the usual airbags, safety belts with pre tensioner, collapsible steering system, crumple zones and side impact beams on doors.
