To take on BMW M5 and upcoming 2013 Mercedes Benz E63 AMG, Audi S6 is in ordinary terms a sportier rendition of Audi A6 on which it is based. The vehicle displays an elevated sense of performance while its lower stance will give it a sportier appeal. Audi S6 powered by a 4.0 liter V8 TFSI engine, mated to a 7 speed S Tronic DSG transmission sees power transmitted to all four wheels via Quattro all wheel drive.
Producing 420 bhp power and 550 Nm torque, the vehicle will be able to sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.8 seconds to reach a restricted top speed of 250 kmph. S6 is fitted with a ‘Cylinder on Demand’ technology, automatically adjusting to load conditions and shutting off 4 cylinders out of 8 to suit load requirements. The latest CBU from Audi is easy to identify with it’s ‘S’ badging. On the performance cars front, audi RS5, and Audi S6 launches will eb closely followed by Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG.
