Launch Price Rs 9.95 lakhs for new Tata Motors Safari Storme SUV in India

To an already overflowing SUV market, Tata Motors has  launched their new Safari Storme at a base price of Rs 9.9 lakhs in India. This SUV was earlier seen at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo in January and will be based on the Aria platform and engine. Though similar in looks to the current model present in the market, there is more of bold and rugged lines noticed in the new Safari Storme which will have the same 2.2 liter DiCOR turbodiesel engine as seen in the current Safari and Aria. This engine will offer about 140 bhp power and 320 Nm torque while fuel efficiency will be at a premium.

Safari Storme will see new sweeping headlights, a chrome strip over its front grille, a new rear windshield, tail lights, twin chrome tipped tail pipes while the large spare wheel is missing on the new model. Tata Motors will be launching the new safari Storme in three variants – LX, EX and VX in a choice of seven colors such as Urban bronze, Astern Black, Sardinia Red, Pearl White, Pearl Champagne, Arctic White and Arctic Silver.

The new Safari Storme will compete with Renault Duster and the Mahindra Scorpio. The price here for the Safari Storme is x-showroom New Delhi. The new Tata Safari is only launched in New Delhi as of now. Within the next few days, Tata Motors will be launching their new Safari SUV across various Indian cities.
