LML – Lohia Machinery Limited have confirmed reports suggesting that they are planning to make a comeback in the Indian auto industry. After the demand for scooters diminished, LML stopped selling their scooters in India, though its export to European countries never suffered.
LML has now revealed that they will be launching their 4 stroke scooter, LML Star 200 cc scooter in India in the coming 2 months. When asked to comment on its pricing, LML declined to reveal info. Industry sources and auto experts suggest the new LML Star will be priced approximately around Rs 60,000 once launched in September this year.
LML Star 200 4T will generate max power of 11.5 bhp and torque of 14.5 Nm. Don’t expect that the new scooter will be without any new features. If we are to believe a report, LML will equip Star 200 with all the latest gadgetry like digital speedometer, tachometer, electric start, and a powerful battery.
LML is also planning to launch their 100 and 125 cc motorcycles in the Indian auto industry. After seeing the success of newly launched Mahindra 2 wheelers in the Indian 2 wheeler industry, LML too wants to have a bite of the market share. Report suggests LML will relaunch their Freedom series in 2 variants, 100 and 125 cc.
