India’s leading SUV manufacturer Mahindra and Mahindra achieved its largest sales report of 48,342 units which is a 10% rise in sales when compared to last year. Half yearly consolidated sales figures stood at an impressive 267266 units which is a 20% increase as compared to the last FY.

The automotive sector of Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. has registered an impressive 22% growth in the passenger vehicles sector with sales of 23,808 units during September, 2012. These numbers can’t be compared to sales figures achieved during the festive season of 2011 as the season started quite early last year.

Domestic sales figures stood at 45263 units in September 2012 as compared to 41136 units sold last year. This is an increase of 10% over last year’s sales. 4- Wheeler segment has registered a sales increase of 7% while exports for the month of September stood at 3079 units with an overall growth increase of 40%. With reduction in lending rates and vehicle loan interest rates, the company is hoping to register good sales in the upcoming festive season. Passenger vehicles register a growth of 22%

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), India’s leading SUV manufacturer, today announced an all time high monthly auto sales number of 48342 units, representing a 10% rise over September 2011 of 44137 units. The half-yearly consolidated auto sales numbers for the period April to September 2012 stood at 267266 units, up by 20% over the corresponding period of the last financial year.

The company’s automotive sector has achieved its highest ever monthly sales at 48342 units during September 2012, with its passenger vehicles registering a growth of 22% at 23808 units. However it is noteworthy that September 2012 and September 2011 are not comparable as the festive season had started early in 2011.

The company’s domestic sales stood at 45263 units during September 2012, as against 41136 units during September 2011, an increase of 10%. The 4 wheeler commercial segment which includes the passenger and load categories has registered a growth of 7%. Exports for the month of September 2012 stood at 3079 units, with an overall growth of 40% during the period April- September, 2012.

Speaking on the performance, Pravin Shah, Chief Executive, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We are happy with the performance and growth that we have achieved during September 2012 over the festive season month of September 2011. Post reduction in CRR, banks have started cutting lending rates and are also looking at reducing vehicle loan rates. We are hopeful of a good performance in the upcoming festive season”.
