Mahindra Centuro, Pantero and Duro DZ launch in Nicaragua and Guatemala
Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. (MTWL) of the Mahindra Group has recently set up assembly units in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and has now expanded to Latin America. Setting up an assembly unit in Guatemala City and Nicaragua, the company has rolled out three of its products in the form of DuroDZ scooter and Pantero and Centuro motorcycles.
The company is in the process of setting up adequate infrastructure where sales, service and spares are concerned besides assembly facilities in both the Latin American countries and will be designating a host of dealers in both countries. The three products were unveiled in Nicaragua on August 20 and in Guatemala City on August 23 in the presence of prominent dignitaries, dealers, bankers and other eminent personalities.

Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. (MTWL), a part of the USD 16.2 billion Mahindra Group, today announced its foray into the Latin American market with its two wheeler portfolio comprising of the Duro DZ, Pantero and Centuro motorcycles. The products were unveiled in Nicaragua on August 20, 2013 and Guatemala City on August 23, 2013, in the presence of eminent dignitaries, dealers, bankers and business associates and media houses. Mahindra Two wheelers’ product portfolio incorporates the Mahindra brand DNA of performance, features and reliability.

Mahindra Two Wheelers is putting in place all essential infrastructure comprising of its sales, service and spares set up and SKD assembly facilities in Guatemala City and Managua, besides a network of dealers in both countries.
Mahindra Two Wheelers has also started operations in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh recently. It is rapidly expanding its sales and service network across these countries. It has also set up assembly units in both these markets.

The Mahindra Pantero was designed for the urban jungle. Underneath its sturdy frame is the indigenously developed MCi-5 engine. It is the most manoeuvrable bike in its class, capable of handling bad roads and traffic with ease. Targeted at young, first time buyers who want a great riding experience, the Pantero’s MCi-5 engine induces intelligence into the motorcycle and adjusts itself to your need for great pick-up or good mileage on the go. It also features a large, fully digital dashboard – a first in this segment – and comes equipped with a speedometer, fuel gauge, tachometer and clock. It also has an inbuilt capability to indicate the distance travelled in one trip. A wide wheel base ensures stability, while the longest seat in its class ensures comfort.
The Mahindra Duro DZ is a tough, powerful, fuel efficient 125 cc scooter designed specifically for challenging Indian roads. It offers a unique combination of superior power, advanced telescopic suspension, the technologically advanced Z Series engine and a variety of other important durability and safety related features.
