Mahindra Farming Swaraj Division receives Deming Application Prize for 2012

The Swaraj Division of Mahindra received the Deming Award for superior quality and passion seen in the vehicles manufactured by this subsidiary. With Mahindra and Mahindra’s Swaraj division receiving this ward, the company has been propelled in the limelight where global leadership is the main highlight. The farm equipment sector of Mahindra was the first tractor company which received the Deming prize 2003 and after that it successfully competed for the quality award in the year 2007.

This award has been instituted in the memory of Dr. William Edwards Deming who contributed for the statistical quality control measures which were put into place in Japan after the Second World War. This ward is awarded for increased usage of quality control management in the manufacture of commodities and other processes.
