It has been some months over which Mahindra Two Wheelers has been actively testing their 110cc scooter. Codenamed G101 as on date, this upcoming scooter is reportedly going to receive the name of Mahindra Zesto, thus carrying forward the same ‘O’ ending to its name as seen in the case of other Mahindra products – Centuro, Pantero, Mojo, Duro, Xylo, Scorpio, Boloro, XUV5OO, and Quanto.
Mahindra Zesto (as claimed by Bikewale) will be launched in the competitive 110cc segment, which sees the most scooter sales in the country. It bears an overall aggressive stance with new front design while borrowing engine technology from the time tested Mahindra Centuro. Engine specs could include a new 110 cc single cylinder, air cooled engine offering around 8 PS peak power and 9 Nm torque mated to a variomatic transmission while fuel efficiency is pegged at around 60 kmpl.
Coming in with a unisex design, the upcoming Mahindra Zesto will find favour among both male and female buyers in the country. It will sport a dynamic headlight cluster and wraparound tail lights and will receive an option of a glove box. Where pricing is concerned, Mahindra will be pricing the upcoming Zesto 110cc efficiently so as to compete with the Honda Activa.
Mahindra Zesto will compete with Honda Activa, Honda Activa-i, Hero Maestro, TVS Jupiter, TVS Wego, and Suzuki Let’s once launched.
