Mahindra Halo electric sportscar emerges with Yellow exterior color

Unveiled as a concept at the Auto Expo 2014, the Mahindra Halo electric sportscar announced Reva’s intentions to venture into high performance territory. However, there have been no significant updates on the Halo till now.

A photograph of a yellow example of the EV has been shared by industrialist Parth Jindal on Twitter. The Auto Expo car was finished in a pale blue exterior color with red accents.

Apart from the new color, there are no noticeable visual differences. The emergence of the yellow Halo hints that Mahindra could be showcasing it at the Auto Expo 2016 next month, possibly with updates that will take it closer to the production line. Or it could simply be one of the development prototypes.

The compact 2-door electric coupe would be positioned in the international market as an affordable yet sporty electric vehicle. Not much about the pure-electric drivetrain has been spoken about by the company but the production ready car would be available in two variants. The base model would have a topspeed of 100 kmph and a range of 150 km. The range-topping variant would manage a top whack of 160 kmph and a range of 200 km.

Going by the showcar, the interior offers two sport seats and a simple dashboard with a touchscreen multimedia infotainment system which also incorporates the EV user interface. If everything goes as per the plan, the Mahindra Halo would enter production at the later part of 2016.
