Mahindra Mojo and 110cc automatic scooter at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo?
Mahindra Two Wheelers is in the process of unveiling a new and indigenously built 110cc automatic scooter at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo in February 2014. Codenamed G101 as on date, the new automatic scooter from Mahindra Two Wheelers, will be the company’s fifth offering in the automatic scooter segment.
Mahindra Two Wheelers currently sell Duro, Rodeo and SYM Flyte automatic scooters, all with 125cc four stroke engines. G101 with its automatic 110cc engine is currently undergoing extensive tests and hopes to join two of Mahindra’s 110cc bikes Centuro and Pantero, both of which have been well received by buyers in the country. Once successfully launched, the G101 will compete aggressively with Honda Activa, Hero Maestro and Suzuki Access 125.
The company has not seen very good results during the period April and November 2013. A total of 36,763 units were sold during this 8 month period as against 79,909 units sold in the same period of 2012. This marked a 54% drop in sales even when the overall scooter market in India saw an increase of 18-19%. (source | images via1 via2)
