Production ready Mahindra Mojo gets clicked up close; Launching in 2 months

Spyshots of what is reported to be final production version of Mahindra Mojo have emerged online, revealing the finer design details. New visual elements include the 3D Mojo stickers and silver inserts on the fuel tank which carry Mahindra badge. The chunky dual silencer canisters have an aluminium surface finish. We learn that a carbon fibre finish could also be on offer.

Mojo gets belly pan, golden finished swing arm, black engine, split grab rails, etc.

Other noteworthy visual features that were missing on the test prototypes include black finish for the engine with Mahindra logo on the crankcase, body colored belly pan, golden colored swing arm that matches twin tubes under the fuel tank and telescopic fork, split grap rails and an interesting LED taillight detailing.

Powering the tourer is a 296 cc single-cylinder liquid cooled engine which would develop a power output in the vicinity of 28 bhp. Torque would be around 25 Nm. Mated to a 6-speed transmission, performance on offer is expected to be more than adequate for long distance touring.

Mahindra will reportedly launch the Mojo within two months.

With competition coming from several 250 – 300 cc motorcycles, Mahindra Mojo needs to get its pricing spot on. To its credit, the 300 cc tourer is packed with top-spec equipment like Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres, study USD telescopic front fork, braided cables for brakes, LED daytime running lights, twin headlamps and so on.

Launch is expected to happen in the next two months with a price tag somewhere in the range of INR 1.5-1.75 lakhs (ex-showroom).
