Offering buyers of e2o, a clean, convenient, efficient and economical mode of transport, customers will be able to plug in their e2o as they would any cell phone or laptop. This can be accomplished via any 220V, 15A power socket at home while a full charge will take a matter of 5 hours allowing the Reva e2o to undertake a journey of over 100 kms.

Ever since then the company has added a host of export markets to their list with the e2o making its way to Nepal and Bhutan even as the company plans exports to Sri Lanka. Expansion of markets to Europe by 2015 is also on the cards as Mahindra is planning an upgraded version of e2o.

While the e2o is actively planned for export markets, the company has reported lower than expected sales in India with just 600 units of e20 sold since launch. Lack of government subsidies and initiatives, thus resulting in a price of INR 6.5 lakhs is what makes the e2o too expensive. To tackle this, the company has launched a new scheme which brings the price of e2o down to 5 lakhs.
