Mahindra REVAi launched in Hyderabad

The first REVA electric car, REVAi to be manufactured after $7.1 billion Mahindra & Mahindra took over, was finally launched in Hyderabad. The all electric car is now available at all Mahindra dealerships in Hyderabad. Anurag Bajaj of Park Hotel, Hyderabad became the proud owner of the first REVAi when he was handed over the keys by Sabita Indira Reddy P.

Mr R Chandramouli, Operations Chief, Mahindra REVA said on the occasion, “We are delighted to launch the REVAi in Hyderabad where there is already a great deal of interest in our vehicles. With issues such as climate change and carbon footprint taking centre stage globally, eco-friendly transportation has become the need of the hour. The electric vehicle market is hence, poised to grow rapidly. Mahindra’s extensive distribution network, coupled with our unique finance plan will help us make significant inroads into the local market.”

REVAi can travel upto 80 kms on a single full charge, has a top speed of 80 kmph and accelerates from 0-40 kmph in under 7 seconds. Its small size can help greatly in city traffic and while finding a parking space.

A new tie-up with Mahindra Finance has provided customers with a new scheme. Under this scheme, interested buyers can pay a refundable deposit of Rs 1 lakh and drive home a REVAi with a promise to pay Rs 8,999 every month for 3 years (36 months). At the end of 3 years, if you are unhappy with REVAi, you can return the car and get your deposit of Rs 1 lakh back. If you want to keep the car you will have to pay an additional Rs 50,000 along with the previously paid Rs 1 lakh deposit and REVAi will be yours forever.
