Mahindra ‘Rise Prize’ beckons driverless car solutions in India

Mahindra Group today launched India’s biggest innovation prize,‘Rise Prize’. It offers USD 1 million to drive innovations in India. The 2 primary challenges are Mobility Challenge through solutions for driverless cars in India, and Solar Challenge to make solar energy products more accessible to more people.

Mr. Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Group said, “With the Rise Prize, the Mahindra Group wants to provoke big disruptive ideas that can dramatically change lives. We are offering a big incentive for fresh thinking among the new generation of innovators in our country. Our ambition is to propel India into the next orbit of Innovation and develop the nascent innovation ecosystem in India. Essentially we want to catalyze the rise of world-class, world-beating innovations and technology from India.”

Concurrently, there’s also the Solar Challenge which is keen on innovative ideas to create ‘Affordable DIY Rooftop Solar Kits’
