Mahindra Samriddhi India Agri Awards 2014

Farm Equipment Sector of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has announced the winners of the Mahindra Samriddhi India Agri Awards 2014. This year, Shri Tariq Anwar, Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing, Government of India was the guest of honour.

The jury of agri-experts was chaired by Shri Ashish Bahuguna, Secretary- Agriculture, Government of India. Mahindra Samriddhi Krishi Shiromani Samman (Lifetime Achievement Award) 2014 was conferred upon ­­­­­­­­­­­­ Dr. K L Chadha for his contribution to Indian Agriculture and for enabling rural India to Rise.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pawan Goenka, Executive Director & President, Automotive and Farm Equipment Sectors, Mahindra & Mahindra said, ‚ÄúAt the Mahindra Group we believe in driving positive change through our businesses and the Agri Awards are an extension of this belief. Here’s an initiative aimed to enhance agricultural productivity through innovative farming tech to augment rural prosperity. Several Mahindra dealerships have been transformed into Samriddhi Centres to aid farmers with all they need.

Mahindra Samriddhi India Agri Awards (MSIAA )2014 received 34,206 nominations from farmers across India, recording 21% growth over the previous year when 28,242 nominations were received. Cash Prizes awarded are as follows:
a) National Level Cash Prizes (for individuals and institutes): Rs. 2,11,000
b) Regional Level Cash Prizes (for individuals): Rs. 51,000
c) Runner up Cash Prize (for institutes): Rs. 1,01,000
d) Krishi Shiromani Samman: Rs.5,00,000
