Mahindra Scorpio facelift featuring LED tail-lights spied
Mahindra & Mahindra has been testing the upcoming Scorpio facelift for some time now. Recently, the car was spotted on test near Pune. This new spy shot of Mahindra Scorpio, revealed that it features LED tail lights. To head to 2014 Auto Expo in February, estimates put Scorpio facelift in a price bracket of INR 8.30-13 lakhs while sales could commence by June 2014.
The new Mahindra Scorpio Facelift spotted on test could be seen with certain upgrades which include new front grille and refreshed headlamps. Design of front bumper has also been modified with larger air intakes while at the rear, Christmas tree arrangement for tail lights were evident with LEDs integrated into them.
From previous spyshots, we can see that interiors are also modified and seem to draw inspiration from the highly successful and much in demand Mahindra XUV500. Interior features include AC vents in rectangular shape and a redesigned infotainment system while dashboard has also been modified and given a more up market look along with center console and new steering wheel design.
Engine configurations are the same 2.2 liter turbo diesel engine as seen on the present model offering 120 bhp power and 290 Nm torque while the new Scorpio may tune this engine to offer better output. New Scorpio facelift will also receive a 6 speed automatic transmission as was seen in a spy shot earlier. (image via)
