Mahindra Scorpio facelift will receive updates in the form of new headlights, front and rear bumpers on its exterior, while interiors in premium tones of beige and black will sport a new instrument panel in brushed aluminium with a host of controls and a multi info display. Its steering wheel is borrowed from the XUV500 while other parts are carried over from its current model. Infotainment in the form of Bluetooth, USB and AUX connectivity along with automatic climate controls will also be evident on the new Scorpio.
Engine specifications on board the new Mahindra Scorpio facelift will continue with the same engines doing duty on its current model in the form of a 2.2 liter mHawk engine offering 120 bhp and a 2.5 liter m2DiCR engine offering 75 bhp. Both these engines are mated to 5 speed manual gearbox.
In view of the new Mahindra Scorpio facelift, which is expected to be launched in the last quarter of 2014, the company is keen to get rid of existing stocks of Scorpio in its company showrooms. Probably, it is for this reason that a limited edition model of Scorpio has been launched.
The company has added some updates to these models which include a pearl finish, checkered flag graphics and chrome alloy wheels. Interiors have also been given a makeover with a beige theme, while a DVD player is added along with a 9” display. There is also the inclusion of leather wrapped gear shifts, dual airbags in the front and leather encased steering wheel while engine details remain the same.
