Mahindra Scorpio facelift spy-shots reveals interiors

For some time now, Mahindra Scorpio facelift has been making test-runs across India. After being spotted in North India earlier, recently 2014 Scorpio was spotted on test close to the Mahindra R&D Center in Chennai.

Heavily camouflaged, with exterior and interior updates veiled from view, it was however sighted with emission testing equipment at its rear end. At the rear end of upcoming Mahindra Scorpio facelift, an AVL logo was also evident which indicates that Austrian Anstalt für Verbrennungskraftmaschinen List will be providing instrumentation and test systems aboard the upcoming Scorpio facelift.

Slated to launch in India during the second half of 2014, the Scorpio facelift hopes to carry on with the benchmark set by Scorpio when it was launched 11 years ago. Ever since launch,  Mahindra Scorpio has seen tremendous response thus making it an important model in M&M range. The company has sold over 4 lakh units of Scorpio since launch with sales seeing an increase to 50,000 units per year in the past two years.

Mahindra Scorpio competes with Mahindra XUV 500 besides Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport. It is offered in five variants which include LX, SLE, VX, VX Automatic and Getaway, and is priced from INR.8.08 to INR 12.75 lakhs. (Images via)
