Ssangyong Motors may not have released any new models lately but have long term plans in place. The company will have four new models in the market by 2016 together with Mahindra and Mahindra.
Mr. Pawan Goenka, spoke to media at Delhi Auto Show and stressed his company plans of the future. At the press conference Goenka said that it has just been a year since M&M has acquired Ssangyong and hence it would be some time before the company could launch new models. Four new cars are in the offing which will be ready by 2016. In the meanwhile Ssangyong will be working on upgrading their existing models to such an extent that they will definitely gain confidence of customers and users by 2016.
Goenka said that taking into account financial status of both companies he was confident that M&M and Ssangyong who have high reputations of being economically independent and financially viable can rely on their own finances to fund these new models in the coming four to five years.
