Mahindra Tractor 7% sales increase in August 2013
Mahindra Farm Equipment Sector has announced that sales of tractors during the month of August 2013 stood at 13,543 units, up 9% as compared to 12,394 units sold in August 2012. This increase is sales is attributed to favorable monsoon in the country and increased growth in the agricultural sector.
Mahindra plans to increase its presence in the US. Selling a total of $1.68 billion worth of tractors globally last year, Mahindra has just begun competing with Deere on their home turf. Mahindra offers a five-year warranty on its tractors in the U.S., compared with the standard two years offered by Deere.
