Mahindra Tractor sales increase 37% during September 2013
Mahindra & Mahindra Limited Farm Equipment Sector saw tractor sales increase an astounding 37% during the month of September 2013. During the month, the company sold a total of 25,922 units as against 18,908 units in September 2012.
These increased sales follow months of good monsoon during a time of traditionally low buying period. The company is equally optimistic of increased sales in the months ahead specially with the upcoming auspicious Diwali and Dusshera festivals round the corner.
Mahindra Tractors, the farm equipment division of Mahindra & Mahindra is among the top three tractor manufacturers in the world. The company has an existing customer base in India, China and America along with a growing base in Australia with a capacity to build 150,000 tractors per annum.
Speaking on the monthly performance, Rajesh Jejurikar, Chief Executive, Tractor and Farm Mechanization, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said “On the back of a good monsoon, we are delighted with a 37% growth in tractor sales despite the traditionally low buying period in September. We see a healthy growth continuing over the next few months.”
