Mahindra Two Wheelers and tractors sales growth in June ’14
Mahindra Two Wheelers (MTWL) sales for June 2014 stood at 15,463 units. Domestic sales stood at 14,389 units for June 2014 over 7,849 units in June 2013 equating to 83% sales growth. Exports for June stood at 1,074 units.
Viren Popli, Chief of Operations, Mahindra Two Wheelers expressed happiness over sustained growth momentum of Centuro, thanking customers for their continued confidence. Mahindra hints at new two wheeler offerings in the coming months. Mahindra Mojo 300 is currently being tested.
Mahindra Farm Equipment Sector (FES) continued to lead the Indian tractor industry during June 2014. Domestic sales in June 2014 stood at 28893 units over ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ26723 units sold in June 2013 equating to 8% sales growth. Total tractor sales (domestic + exports) during June 2014 stood at ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ29884 units over ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ27749 units for June 2013 equating to 8% sales growth. Exports for the month stood at ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ991 units equating to 3% sales decline when compared to 1026 units exported in June 2013.
Rajesh Jejurikar, Chief Executive, Farm Equipment and Two Wheeler Division, Mahindra & Mahindra spoke positively about growth in June while expecting better monsoon in July which would facilitate increase in kharif sowing and spur agricultural output.
