Mahindra Verito compact sedan is schedule for launch by first quarter of 2013. Being in the sub 4 meter category, means that the vehicle will take advantage of lower excise duties from the government, which would make pricing more competitive than the standard Verito.

Verito CS (compact sedan) should be priced Rs.30,000 to Rs.40,000 less than the existing variant and should be in Rs.4.5 lakh to Rs.4.8 lakh category. Mahindra Verito comes in to compete with the like of Indigo CS, Swift Dzire and Toyota Etios.

Mahindra has managed to keep their new Verito model away from any sort of attention but while on test, they were spotted by automobile enthusiasts. Initial inspections reveal that the Verito looks more like a hatchback with a sloping rear windshield. Expected to be launched by end of March 2013, Mahindra Verito is expected to come in with a diesel 1.5 liter Renault K9K engine.
