Mahindra XUV500 launched in Italy at an introductory price of €22,932

After taking Indian markets by storm, the Mahindra and Mahindra XUV500 is now launched in Italy powered by the same 2.2 liter 140 bhp mHawk engine mated to a six speed manual gearbox. Mahindra XUV500 will be offered in two variants in Italy, one with front wheel drive and the other with wheel drive. The FWD version will cost €22,932 (Rs 15.4 lakhs) while the AWD versoin will cost €24,983 (Rs 16.8 lakhs) in the Italian auto industry.

This European XUV500, which is Euro V compliant, will be low on auto emissions, slated to stand at 173 g/km for the front wheel drive while this will go up marginally to 186 g/km for the all wheel drive variant. XUV500 launching in European markets will be fitted with a host of safety features which will include additional airbags, ABS and EBD while infotainment features will include voice command, Bluetooth connectivity and multi function touch screen display with navigation.

Mahindra SsangYong Rexton W is also being shipped to foreign shores after it is launched in India later this month. It will soon be seen in South Africa as will the Korando and Actyon Sport double cab pickup. For South African markets, the Rexton W will be fitted with a 2.7 liter turbodiesel engine with output of 162 bhp.
