Mahindra XUV500 Short Film Contest draws to a close
Mahindra XUV500 Short Film Contest draws to a close. The prize was an XUV500 and the competition was organized in alliance with 48 Hours Film Project, India.
M&M received over 200 entries which were based in individual short stories, while 23 filmmakers were shortlisted. Each of the entries has distinctive stories to tell and it was difficult for jury members to hone in on a final winner. Shortlisted entries were allotted an XUV500 for 5 days and had to construct a story around it. The jury consisted of Mr Shimit Amin -Director of Chak De, Robby Mathew – Creative Director, Interface Communication, Carlton D’silva – Creative Head, Hungama Digital and Mr Vivek Nayer, Chief Marketing Officer, Automotive division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
Winners were decided on the basis of concept, execution, integration of the XUV500 into the film, technical expertise in film making while the sole winner was presented with an XUV500. Two runners up were awarded a Canon camera – EOS 550D and Apple iPad 3. All these winning films have appeared on YouTube where they have received overwhelming viewership.
