Mahindra XUV500 W4 launch later this month: Specs revealed
Mahindra and Mahindra, India’s largest UV manufacturers, are all set to introduce a new base variant of the XUV500. This new variant, W4 will come in minus a few accessories and equipment due to which it will be priced lower than the current XUV500, which is available in two trims currently, W6 and W8 (2WD and AWD).
In order to give a boost in sales, the W4 variant will be launched later this month, reports Indian Autos Blog. It will receive the same 2.2 liter diesel engine seen in XUV500. This engine is capable of 140 bhp power and 330 Nm torque and is mated to a 6 speed transmission.
Safety and infotainment features aboard the W4 will include ABS with EBD, Hill Hold, Hill Descent Control, a 6” touchscreen, DVD player, tyre pressure sensor, parking assist and rain sensing wipers. However, the model will miss out on front fog lamps, twin exhaust tips and roof rails. The base variant also does not receive telescopic steering, automatic temperature control or folding side mirrors.
