Mahindra Xylo D2 MAXX 9 seater variant launched at Rs 7.12 lakh
Competition in the auto industry has grown exponentially. In order to generate growth in sales during Diwali festive season, car manufacturers are not only launching new cars, but are also introducing special editions or new variants of existing models.
The new Xylo D2 MAXX 9 seater variant is priced at Rs 7.12 lakh for the BSIII variant, ex-showroom, Mumbai. Why a 9 seater variant, Mahindra says, “This is the first time the Xylo, one of India’s most popular MPVs (multi-purpose vehicles) will be available with a 9 seats option, making it ideally suited for tour and travel operators, for passenger movement. ”
Powered by the 2.5l mDI CRDe engine, the 9 seater Xylo offers 95 PS power and 220 Nm torque. It also delivers a best in class ARAI certified mileage of 14.95 kmpl (claimed). A BSIV option is not on offer as of now, but as the engine is compatible, we can expect a BSIV variant launch later.
According to Vivek Nayer, Chief Marketing Officer, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. “The Xylo D2 MAXX with the mDI CRDe engine is a variant of the Xylo, which delivers great mileage, low maintenance and maximum space, making it a very popular choice with the tour and travel segment. Today, we are delighted to offer our customers the 9 seats option with side-facing rear seats – a feature preferred by the tour and travel segment. Given that the Xylo has best-in-class space, the side facing seats will provide a great deal of flexibility for carrying people or luggage.”
