Manchester United Football Club official Tyre Partner in UK and India, Apollo Tyres go the distance
Apollo Tyres, based in Gurgaon, India and British Premier League football club Manchester United have struck a deal on Wednesday whereby the former becomes first official tyre partner for the Club in both UK and India.
The basis of the deal is to bring about joint community commitments to instigate youngsters in the countries to ‘go the distance’. This will not only reap fruitful results but will also go a long way in raising awareness in making Apollo Tyre a universally recognisable brand. Apollo will be constructing football grounds made from recycled rubber.
The first such ‘go the distance’ pitch will be built on the grounds of Old Trafford while similar pitches are being planned across India and the UK. By this novel endeavour, while Apollo Tyres promotes the brand among ManU fans, 160 youngsters will be trained every year and fans will get a chance to meet and interact with their favourite football stars.
With the current EPL season underway, Manchester United got off to a great start at home last weekend with 4 goals scored. Last season’s champions played their first premier league game under new manager David Moyes. The match against Swansea saw the away team score a single goal in the 2nd half with Bony scoring in the 82nd minute. For Manchester United, Van Persie and Welbeck scored 2 goals each as follows, Van Persie 34?, 72? Welbeck 36?, 90?.
