VE Commercial Vehicles Limited has entered into an agreement with MapmyIndia for added safety on school buses.

VE Commercial Vehicles Limited, a JV between Eicher Motors Ltd. and Volvo Group, along with MapmyIndia introduces Integrated Safety Solutions on school buses. Developed solely by MapmyIndia, the solution offers total safety of school children from the point of time that they board the bus till they reach their destination.

Fitted as a standard, total security solution is offered on Skyline Pro, Skyline and Starline buses. This Integrated Safety Solution has been regaled by many parents of school going children who worry about their children’s safety from the time they leave home till the time they are dropped back safe and sound.

MapmyIndia Safety Solutions school bus allows location entry and exit alerts via SMS or email. The buses are fitted with on board cameras and DVR with continuous live streaming of both children and driver while the other safety features include an emergency button, live tracking of bus, remote vehicle disabler and speeding alerts.

With these on-board systems, the buses address most of the safety concerns of parents and school authorities while RFID tags on children keep track of the children’s movements during school hours sending immediate alerts to parents in the event of emergencies.

MapmyIndia maps with voice guidance are used on the Integrated Safety Solution school bus giving total coverage of 10.54 million unique destinations, expanded coverage of over 2 million kms of road networks, 7,068 cities at street level and 80 cities with house addresses.
