Maruti Celerio bookings touch 20,000 in 20 days
Maruti Suzuki Celerio hatchback, launched at 2014 Auto Expo seems to have gained the instant attention of Indian buyers. It is now revealed that the manufacturer has received about 20,000 bookings for the Celerio in the first 20 days of launch.
Out of 20,000 Celerio hatchbacks delivered/booked to date, it has been found that the more expensive automatic variant is more in demand signaling a change in sentiments with added buyers eager to take advantage of effortless drive and faster acceleration, reveals ET.
Out of five trims offered on the Celerio, two are AMT while three are manual. AMT is known to remove stress of having to contend with clutch in a stop/go traffic situation especially prevalent in the country, while it is also a fuel saver as compared to its manual counterpart.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio is receiving over 1000 bookings per day. However, this attractive pricing and AMT facility has led to in constraints with demand for automatic Celerio way above supply capabilities. Maruti has hence instructed vendors to push the Celerio manual transmission variants more than AMT trims.
