Celerio LXi and VXi variants will get 5 speed manual transmission or automated manual transmission while Celerio ZXi and ZXi Option will be available only with manual gearbox.
In seven body colors, the new Maruti Celerio base LXi variant will come in with power steering, air conditioning and body colored bumpers. Interiors will sport a central console, new instrument panel designed with low fuel warning lamp and door ajar warning system besides headlamp on reminder. The state of the art display will also indicate current time, fuel consumption and distance to empty.
Celerio VXi variant will get all features present in the LXi variant with additional chrome grille, full wheel covers and night interior rear view mirror along with central locking and power windows for all four doors.
Celerio ZXi will get body colored door handles and door mirrors along with turn indicators. It will also sport a 4 speaker audio system with CD, USB, AUX-In and Bluetooth and will receive a host of safety updates in the form of tilt steering, driver’s seat belt warning lamp, driver airbags, rear window wiper and washer and a rear window defogger.
ZXi Option is the top most variant and in addition to all features offered on the ZXi will get front fog lamps, alloy wheels, height adjustable driver seat and anti lock braking system.
Power on board the Celerio comes from a 998cc three cylinder K10B engine offering 68 PS peak power at 6000 rpm and 90 Nm torque at 3500 rpm. ARAI pegs fuel efficiency to stand at 23.1 kmpl. (images via)
