Come Diwali and Dusshera festivals in India, and demand for four wheeler vehicles sees a marked improvement. To cash in on this season, each auto company is planning on bringing in its own entry level sedan to take advantage of the situation. These new entrants will include Tata Indigo Manza CS, Renault Scala, Ford Fiesta, Mahindra Verito, Chevrolet Sail and a new Ambassador. All these six cars are likely to swoop in and capture the place of Maruti Suzuki Dzire, production of which is at present at a standstill following company lockout in Manesar Plant.

The way things stand now, a nticeable percentage of potential Maruti Dzire sedan buyers may opt for rival models in the coming months. Present entry level sedans in the market such as Toyota Etios, Chevrolet Avis, Hyundai Accent and Tata Indigo CS will also compete head to head with the new models to be launched.

Maruti Dzire till date was a major contender being best in its class where power and performance are concerned. Unfortunately with the difficult situation being faced by the company at their plant in Manesar, buyers of Dzire are facing long waiting periods and delayed deliveries. Sales of Dzire stood at 58,371 in the first four months of this fiscal which is almost four times that of Toyota Etios which logged only 15,566 units in the same period.
