Maruti gears up to deliver record bookings for Swift even as strike at Manesar yet to end

Maruti Suzuki have stated that they have received over 1.08 lakh bookings for Swift and said supply would not be delayed further even as they continue to face problems with labor. The strike which has been going on since August 29th 2011 does not show any sign of reaching any agreement.
Mr. Mayank Pareek Managing Executive Officer – Sales and Marketing of Maruti Suzuki India said that the company is trying its best to keep up with increased demands. He said that the company was sure that they would be capable of completing all deliveries in time for the festive season. The unit at Manesar is now geared up to manufcature about 700 vehicles per day. Pareek said that they would be reaching a target of 17000 to 18000 units per month as compared to an earlier figure of 12000 Swifts.
