MSIL is India’s leading automaker with about 45% market share. They produce a range of cars to cater to the demand of different segment of buyers. Of the top 6 cars sold in India, 4 of them have belonged to Maruti.

Speaking about sales, Maruti Alto, their small entry level car is at the very top of this list of best sellers for the April to June quarter. Maruti Suzuki’s DZire, Swift and WagonR are also in subsequent top positions while Hyundai Grand i10 is in fifth position followed by Honda City sedan in sixth place.

During the period April to June 2014, MSIL sold a total of 64,573 units of Alto as against 56,335 units in April to June 2013. 50,951 units of DZire sedan were sold while 47,442 units of Swift and 38,156 units of WagonR were sold each of which broke sales pitch as against sales in the same quarter of the previous year.
