2014 Maruti Suzuki Dakshin Dare flags-off on August 4, 2014
Following the success of Raid de Himalaya and Desert Storm, Maruti Suzuki started a similar rally even in South of India for motorsport enthusiasts in 2009. Now in its 6th Edition, Dakshin Dare calls all motoring enthusiasts from across India as it gets off to a flying start in Bangalore on August 4th and ends in Goa on 9th August.

Participants which will include both men and women with keen interest in motorsports will have to contend with marshy terrain, monsoon weather conditions and harshest of road surfaces on route.
Participants and vehicles will be thoroughly examined and put through stringent security checks. Selected participants will compete in three categories to include Ultimate Car category, Ultimate Bike Category and Endure Category.
While the competition is open to all, it is Suresh Rana from Manali, 9 times winner of Raid de Himalaya and three times winner of Desert Storm, is geared up to add one more title to the list as he tackles his first Dakshin Dare this year.
Dakshin Dare which welcomes participation from both men and women is expected to see added participation this year as compared to its previous years as more teams are eager to take part in this prestigious rally that not only enhances motoring skills but allows participants to enjoy the varied landscape and toughest terrains in south India.
