Maruti Suzuki September 2015 sales grow by 6.8 percent

Domestic sales registered by Maruti Suzuki India during the month of Sep 2015 stands at 106,083 units. This when compared to the sales registered by Maruti Suzuki in Sep 2014 (99,290 units) is an increase by 6.8%.

Driving the growth story for Maruti Suzuki in the month of September 2015 were their compact passenger cars – Swift, Ritz, Celerio, and Dzire. Together, these 4 managed to register sales of 44,826 units. During Sep 2014, these four registered sales of 43,304 units, registering growth by 3.5%.

The second segment of cars which performed well for Maruti Suzuki, were their mini passenger cars – Alto 800, Alto K10 and WagonR. Together, these three registered sales of 35,570 units in Sep 2015, as against 35,547 units sold in Sep 2014.

Utility vehicle segment of Maruti Suzuki, which consists of Gypsy, Ertiga, and the newly launched S-Cross, registered sales of 6,331 units as against 5,980 units sold in Sep 2014. Though this is an increase month on month, it is not what Maruti would have expected, considering the S-Cross was on offer this September.

This month, Maruti Suzuki has plans to launch two new cars, these are the Maruti Ertiga Facelift and the Maruti Baleno. Speaking about the Ertiga facelift, it gets minor exterior updates, as well as the new SHVS technology on board the diesel engine.
