Swift Star special edition will feature a double din stereo system with Bluetooth, rear roof spoilers, a pair of speakers, faux leather upholstery, leather steering wheel cover and designer mats. Swift Star will be offered with a DDiS diesel engine.
In India, the Swift is amongst its best selling cars. For 2012, Swift was the second best seller, after Maruti Suzuki Alto 800. Swift in India is powered by a 1.3 liter Multijet diesel engine offering 74 bhp peak power and 190 Nm torque while its 1.2 liter petrol engine belts out 86 bhp power and 114 Nm torque. Power is supplied to front wheels via 5 speed manual gearbox. Out of the 30 lakh units of Swift sold globally, 13% were sold to Japanese markets while 23% of the sales were in Europe and 45% were in India.
