Maruti Suzuki workers at Manesar have ended their strike just a few minutes back. The strike lasted for 14 days and because of which Maruti Suzuki has lost a lot of production revenue. Maruti Suzuki has agreed to reinstate the 64 workers which were fired, that resulted in the strike. But according to the agreement, Maruti Suzuki will not be reinstating the remaining 30 permanent workers which were fired along with the 64 workers.

A source revealed, “However, in case of another 30 employees, the charges were found to be of serious nature. The agreement provides that these employees are suspended,” on reason behind not reinstating the 30 permanent workers.

Manesar plant workers went on strike for the 3rd time this year and this has resulted in an yearly loss of 60,000 production units. The latest strike was triggered due to Maruti not reinstating 1,200 casual and 44 permanent workers. Finally Maruti has agreed to reinstate the casual workers, but in a phased manner.
