Italian automaker Maserati marks its second entry in India after terminating their partnership with Shreyans Group in 2013. This time, the company is backed by parent Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in India.
Three exclusive dealerships – AMP Supercars, Bagga Luxury Motorcars and Jubilant Autoworks are scheduled for opening in the third quarter of 2015 in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore respectively.

Price
The Ghibli diesel will be priced at INR 1.1 crore while Quattroporte diesel and GTS will be priced at INR 1.5 crore and INR 2.2 crores respectively. GranTurismo will have a price tag of INR 1.8 crores while the GT GranCabrio will be priced at INR 2 crores.
Maserati India has not yet been confirmed, whether they will be launching the Levante SUV and Alfieri or not.
Engine
In India, Maserati will be offering the Ghibli with only a diesel engine option. This engine will be a 3.0 liter V6 offering 274 PS power at 600 Nm torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph will be achieved in 6.3 seconds while top speed stands at 263 kmph.
The Quattroporte will be powered by a 3.8 liter V8 engine offering 530 PS power and 710 Nm torque with acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.7 seconds and top speed at 307 kmph. The diesel Quattroporte will have the same engine as seen on the Ghibli.
Maserati India is hopeful of selling more than expected cars in India, though they did not reveal how many cars they aim to sell in first year.The entire line-up of Maserati cars will be on display at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, in February 2016.
