Maserati V8 Quattroporte at 2013 Detroit Auto Show
Maserati Quattroporte, the new sports sedan from Italian car marquee, lands in the US for the first time at the 2013 NAIAS. The 6th gen Quattroporte will be launched later this year.
Maserati V8 Quattroporte sedan 9s her at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. Soon to make its entry into US markets, prices are scheduled to be in the $130,000 category. The company has targets in store and a motivation to increase sales from 6,300 units in 2012 to 50,000 by 2015.
Maserati Quattroporte comes with two engine options, both of which see twin turbocharging and direct injection. Fitted with a V8 engine means that the vehicle will be capable of 523 hp and 524 lb/ft torque while acceleration from 0 to 60 mph will be completed in 4.6 seconds. The smaller V6 engine offers 404 hp while acceleration from 0 to 60 mph is possible in 5 seconds. Both the engines are built by Ferrari in Maranello and are stated to be both powerful and fuel efficient.
Launch of redesigned Quattroporte comes along with the announcement that Maserati will be launching three new products globally and in the US. Quattroporte will be launched this year. It will be followed by Ghibli midsize sedan, at the end of 2013 while Levante small SUV will make its presence felt at the end of 2014.
