Mazda Motors and Fiat Group to work together on Alfa Romeo Roadster
Mazda Motors and Fiat Group work together for Alfa Romeo Roadster. The production of this vehicle will commence at the company’s Hiroshima plant in Japan from 2015.
Following final agreement signed by Mazda Motor Corporation and Fiat Group Automobiles S.p.A, Mazda will now be producing an open top two seater sports car for Fiat’s Alfa Romeo brand. The production of this vehicle will commence at the company’s Hiroshima plant in Japan from 2015.
This new roadster will be based on the next generation Mazda MX-5 and will be developed for global markets. As per the terms of the new agreement signed by Mazda and Fiat, two differently styled roadsters featuring rear wheel drives will be developed while both the variants will be powered by engines unique to each brand.
Mazda will bring out this new open top two seater sports car with a high level of efficiency and the latest of development and outstanding features. Fiat will also benefit through this joint collaboration which will allow the company to develop a modern two seater on the lines of Alfa Romeo Roadster which will also possess the latest in technology.
