Mazda new car Mazda6 official images revealed: January to June 2012 global car sales report
No less than 24 hours after the first photo of the new ‘6 sedan’ was released, Mazda released a few more pictures and a video…
This new model is a toned down model of the Takeri concept which showcases the company’s aggressive ‘KODO’ design. This design concept incorporates curves and hard lines for a sleek look. This will be the second Mazda model after the CX-5 crossover which will incorporate full range of SKYACTIV technologies bringing together a lightweight modular platform and clean gasoline and diesel engines. The Mazda6 will be equipped with the new intelligent braking system designed by Mazda. The i-eloop (intelligent energy loop) hopes to improve fuel economy by up to 10% based on driving conditions in the real world.
It’s believed that the Mazda6 will also be available with a choice of Skyactiv’s 2.2 liter diesel engine with a two stage turbo charger. In the CX-5 the diesel engine is available in two variants one producing 150 hp and 380 Nm while the other produces 175 hp and 480 Nm. Both of the variants can be linked to a six speed manual or a six speed automatic transmission unit.
