McLaren P1 shows it’s worth in extreme hot weather (Photos and Video)
The new McLaren P1 has been put to test in hot and arid conditions of California, North America, where temperatures soared to 52 C / 126 F. The British company is into final phases of testing P1 before deliveries to customers begin in the coming weeks.
McLaren P1 is seen finished in carbon black as it weathered the excessive heat of 52°C in Arizona, California and Nevada where it was put to test both on public roads and on track. Aggressive in appearance, McLaren P1 can be spotted in a video on test along California Willow Springs International Raceway. It receives a hybrid petrol electric powertrain in the form of a 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine and electric motor.
Both offer combined power output of 903 HP and 900 Nm torque due to which the P1 can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in under 3 seconds or from 0 to 200 kmph in less than 7 seconds. Auto emissions are under 200 g/km while on sole electric mode the P1 can traverse a distance of over 10 kms. This exclusive and limited edition McLaren P1 is priced at £866,000 in UK and $1,150,000 in U.S though we are not sure if any are left for sale as of now.
