McLaren P1 shrinkrapped and fighter jet cockpit. The top layer of resin is also removed to create a natural carbon non lacquered look resulting in a further 1.5 kg reduction in weight.
Interiors are comfortable with a cockpit like feel and comes with a glass canopy and an extended windscreen. McLaren P1 is fitted with other driver comforts which include full climate control, satellite navigation, bespoke sound system. The two seater cabin McLaren P1 is made of the lightest of materials and this is used in the dashboard, floor, doors and rockers while the central control unit consists of a single piece shaped in such a way that it adds to further weight reduction. The top layer of resin is also removed to create a natural carbon non lacquered look resulting in a further 1.5 kg reduction in weight.
Seat backs are adjustable to 28 degrees from vertical and can be further adjusted to 32 degrees for better racing benefits which also gives more room for helmet. McLaren P1 is to be on display at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2013 where more details will be revealed.
