Mercedes Benz India has officially launched the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 roadster in India priced from INR 77.50 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new AMG SLC was first showcased at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year and comes in to take the place of the ageing Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG.
Mercedes Benz AMG SLC 43 gets a similar design to the SLK but receives a new front grille with Mercedes diamond pattern and chrome slats. The grille is dominated by the three pointed star in the center and is flanked by dual beam headlamps along with LED daytime running lights. A sporty new front bumper, large air intakes and wide air dam dominate its front façade while the rear bumper gets a well sculpted design with chrome tipped exhausts.
The AMG SLC 43 can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 5 seconds.Interiors of the new Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 are seen with some subtle modifications. It gets a new sports steering wheel and redesigned instrument cluster while upholstery is also new. It also gets a new COMAND infotainment system with 7” display. Its retractable roof opens and shuts in less than 20 seconds and it operates even when the car is in motion, at speeds of up to 40 kmph.
Engine specifications on the new Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 includes a 3.0 liter, V6 Bi-Turbo engine offering 362 PS power at 5,500 to 6,000 rpm and 520 Nm torque at 2,000 to 4,200 rpm mated to a 9G TRONIC automatic gearbox sending power to the rear wheels. The engine allows the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in under 5 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 kmph.

The new SLC will compete with the Porsche 718 Boxster, Audi TTS Roadster and BMW Z4 roadster in India.
