Mercedes Benz A 45 AMG 2013 Geneva Motor Show world premier. The vehicle will be able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 155 mph.
Power is sent to its four wheels via an AMG speed shift DCT 7 speed sports transmission. The upcoming AMG A45 will be offered in three driving programs – double declutching function and Race Start with three stage ESP also being offered. The A45 AMG rides on 18” twin spoke lightweight alloy wheels and are fitted with 235/40 R18 tyres. Two sets of 19” wheels with 235/35 tyres is also offered as an option. The vehicle will come in with enhanced fuel economy which is pegged at 6.9 liters per 100 kms in NEDC combined mode.
Scheduled to target new customers in an altogether new market, the company is confident that the A45 will appeal to a younger generation of buyers on the 30 to 40 age group who will value its high tech package and performance oriented set up. No prices have yet been announced but will be revealed closer to launch date.
