Mercedes Benz A45 AMG driven by Usher: Awaits 2013 Geneva launch

Mercedes Benz is scheduled to launch the all new A45 AMG later today in Geneva at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Usher, who is buying an SLS AMG V8 sports car, was given the opportunity to fix the V8 engine inside his SLS AMG. For which, he was invited by Mercedes Benz AMG at their plant in Affalterbach.

Once at the plant, Usher not only fitted the V8 AMG engine to his own SLS AMG, but was also drove the all new, yet to be launched, A45 AMG around the Mercedes Benz test track. Speaking about the brand, Usher says, ”When I think about luxury, the first thing that comes to mind is Mercedes. So it was a very special moment for me when I was able to buy a Mercedes-Benz for my mom. So far it was the only car I have given her as a gift.”

Speaking about the A45 AMG, Usher says, “It looks so absolutely cool and sexy, and I’m really excited about experiencing the power of the first AMG four-cylinder turbo engine.” Mercedes Benz A45 AMG is powered by a 2.0L engine generating 360 hp and 450 Nm torque. The same engine will also be fitted on the CLA45 AMG, scheduled to be unveiled a the end of March 2013 in New York.

Usher will also be present at the Mercedes Benz stand when the A45 AMG is launched officially at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
