Mercedes Benz Apple Siri and Chevrolet Mylink 2014 car systems
When using Siri while driving, users will need to connect their iPhone 4S to the car using “Drive Kit Plus” option. Upon connection, users will have access to important content on their iPhone 4S on the vehicle’s screen facilitated by the “Digital DriveStyle App” developed by Mercedes-Benz. In future, Siri Eyes Free mode will be supported.
In the 2013 Best-of-CES Award in the Car Tech category, CNET chose Chevrolet’s next-generation MyLink infotainment system, which beat Ford and Garmin in-vehicle app frameworks. The app debuts in the 2014 Chevrolet Impala in spring, and will be introduced in other cars too. This includes the all-new Silverado full-size pickup that finds improvement in high-strength steels, hydroforming for better strength, and usage of aluminum for mass reduction.
