2015 Mercedes Benz C Class to be offered as convertible?
The new 2015 Mercedes Benz C Class is expected to be introduced at 2014 North American International Auto Show in January next year, while sales are scheduled to commence shortly thereafter. The new C Class will not only be offered with a choice of new engine options, and a new platform, it will also be seen with a convertible option, for the very first time.
2015 Mercedes Benz C Class sedan has already been spied, while out on test recently. where its two bar grille and duel exhaust system were clearly evident. Mercedes Benz C Class convertible is expected to compete with the all new BMW 4 Series, reports Carscoops.
The C Class rides on a new MRA platform which is slated to make the car lighter and longer than its predecessor. Thanks to this, there will be plenty of cabin space and a larger trunk which will be capable of holding upto 500 liters of luggage.
Weighing close to 70 kgs less than the earlier model, the 2015 C Class will come in with a variety of engine options consisting of a 2.2 liter CDI four cylinder (170 hp), 1.6 liter four cylinder (156 hp), 2.0 liter four cylinder (184 hp, 211 hp and 252 hp) and a 3.0 liter V6 (333 hp). The C Class will go on sale in 2014, and can be expected to arrive in India by early 2015 or late 2014.
