Mercedes Benz C Class next gen shows itself

The next gen Mercedes Benz C Class has been revealed, along with some details. The luxury car is design on basis of modular rear wheel drive architecture platform and will be slightly bigger than the current entry level CLA class model. The increased space has benefitted interiors allowing for increased legroom and headroom as also more boot capacity (485 liters). Another interesting aspect of the new model is that Mercedes has lowered overall weight of the car allowing it to weigh in at 1380 kg.

The 2015 Mercedes Benz C Class will be powered by a longitudinally mounted four cylinder or V6 petrol engine, which are capable of producing power outputs from 184 bhp to 330 bhp respectively. Diesel engine will be available in four variants capable of producing power outputs from 120 bhp to 220 bhp respectively. Power will be transmitted via a rear wheel drive transmission system coupled to a six-speed manual or seven-speed DCT gear system.

Safety features like Brake Assist, Attention Assist, Distronic Plus feature and assorted features from the E class will be infused within this new model. Apart from these features a new electro mechanical steering system will also be available for all C class variants.
